Trip to Disney

On March 10th of this year we were lucky in the fact that Mike had to go to Orlando for a business conference and MJ and I got to tag along. The order of the photos is backwards but it has been a while since I last blogged and I forgot what I was doing.

This was how our day ended at the Magic Kingdom. We left a little after 3pm since it had gotten so bad and they had cancelled the parade and the fireworks for that night. I was not prepared at all for all this rain. Everyone in Orlando kept telling me oh it just is usually a shower in the afternoon and then it is all clear... They were wrong!! It rain all day Thursday while we were there and then Friday we just stayed at the Hotel cause the rain was so bad.

Here we are on MJ's favorite ride.. Dumbo.. and yes this is one of the very few pictures you will see of me pregnant!

We had breakfast with Tigger, Pooh, piglet and Eeyore at the Crystal Palace on Thursday morning at the Magic Kingdom. It was so much fun!!!

It stopped raining for a minute to get a picture of him in front of the castle.

When we first went in they had some characters signing autographs so we got daisy and Chip n dale.

MJ going into the Magic Kingdom for the 1st time!!

The family as we were leaving our first character dining with Chef Mickey. The pictures below are from dinner with the characters.

Mike and MJ at Disney downtown

MJ thought he was driving the train at Downtown Disney. This ride was so worth the $2!!!
When we were getting off the plane the pilot let us get a picture with him in the cockpit (of course MJ just tried hitting all the buttons and said he was flying the plane)

Here we are on MJ's first airplane flight (which he pretty much slept thorugh) but he still loved it and still talks about it almost everyday!

Update #1

So It has been FOREVER since I have posted anything and I do apologize. There has just been so much going on!!! So here are some updates and I will have more to come...

As you can see MJ was not too happy with the Super Bowl this year.

We took MJ to his first UT basketball game and he loved it!! We know that we are going to have to take him to many more in the years to come.

We had several snows this year but there was one that they were saying would be huge and I had told Mike we needed to get a sled. He thought if we got a sled several days early then it would never snow, so we waited until that day when it started snowing and I started calling EVERY store in Knoxville looking for a sled(most had been sold out for days) But there was one garden center close to campus that was suppose to be getting a truck in within the hour with sleds so I sent Mike there. When he got there the line was wrapped around the building and so he was going to leave but I made him wait and he got a sled!! MJ loves his sled and had so much fun sledding on it. The hill in our backyard is perfect for MJ right now.

We thought we had been so lucky this year with MJ not getting sick at all.. nothing not even a little cold. Last year he had been so sick all the time and so this year was such a blessing. then Christmas Eve hit and at 11 pm on Christmas eve we headed to Children's Hospital with a 106 temp. We had been in Nashville for the days leading up to Christmas and while there we had gone to the ICE exhibit at Opryland and there I had heard a little girl coughing really really bad and there is where MJ had caught the croup. The Hospital was so sweet giving him stuffed animals and some toys since it was Christmas Eve, but after a breathing treatment and a steroid shot he was good to go home at 3 am that morning. We were all so tired we hardly got to enjoy Christmas this year!

This is what we saw when we got home from the Hospital... Santa had come and left all these gifts for MJ.

First Snow! and Christmas Preparations

This morning we got our first snow of the season and it was about 2 inches.. which is a lot for this early so I hope that means we might get a lot more this year. MJ had a ball in it. When he woke up finally at 9 am he and Neyland stood at the door forever just watching.. it was the cutest thing! Then Mike took MJ out and the boys that live diagonally from us started a snow ball fight with them, but Mj held his own pretty well.

Christmas preparations have begun. the trees are up, stockings are hung, and we have made a gingerbread train.. Do we need anything else?!?!

Thanksgiving and Fantasy of Trees

This is our one and only Thanksgiving picture this year. I kind of forgot to take any more, but at least I got a picture of Mj in his outfit.

On Saturday after Thanksgiving MJ and I went with my mother-in-law and her twin sister, my niece and nephew went to the Fantasy of Trees. First MJ rode the Carousel which I rode beside him but he would not let me hold on to him. He loved it so much and did so well riding it.

Next we went by a great picture spot so we had to take some pictures.

They had an area for kids to work off some energy I guess.. it was just for preschoolers. They had cars that the kids rode around crashing into each other. I think MJ was one of the few that was actually preschool age, but he was probably the roughest of the bunch.

MJ's second favorite part of the day.. THE TRAIN. He loved playing on this with Maggie and Knox.. however we did have some fighting when it was time to get off.

Birthday #2 Celebration

Last night as part of MJ's final Birthday present we took him to Disney's Nemo on Ice. It was amazing!! Mj was not sure about what it all was but he quickly got into it.

Here he is watching the show.. can you tell he was enjoying it?

This is a picture of the jellyfish section when they had people twirling from the ropes which MJ was amazed by.

I love the bright colors of this picture.. we got lots like this.

MJ got his first snow cone.. which was a little messy but worth it!

This year we took MJ to see Santa at Phipps plaza in Atlanta. I had heard that it was a big thing with there online reservations (which all weekends were full on the 2nd day the reservations were open, so we only could get the 17th to go) The Santa there was completely worth it! He was amazing.. a few times MJ looked like he might cry but Santa knew the right things to say that settled him down real fast.

In this picture is when the photographer was doing the video where Santa talked to MJ about what he wanted and how good he had been.. I can't wait to get the video next week!

Here are some pictures of MJ opening his presents. I feel like a bad mom because my camera died in the middle of the party and I did not get to take very many pictures.

Here is Mj's cake.. he loves Curious George so that was the theme. It was such a beautiful day to send it celebrating with Friends and Family. We could not have asked for a better day. Thanks to all that came!
